Abstract

The workshop explores the plurality of colonial legacies in contemporary societies by bringing into dialogue perspectives on postcoloniality, decolonisation, and anticolonialism from non-Western contexts. It aims to foster comparative and interdisciplinary discussion on colonial continuities, transformations, and resistances across regions and historical settings.

The event builds on the organisers’ research on anti-colonial movements in British India, postcolonial migration governance in Bangladesh, and Chinese colonialism in East Turkestan and decolonial movements in Eurasia. It is envisioned as a focused, discussion-oriented workshop.
