CFA – 2024 FiF UK Young Researchers Mobility Grants At CEFRES

Call for application for 2nd year and above PhD students and postdoctoral researchers enrolled at the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University (FiF UK)

Duration: 2 to 10 months between September 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025

The Faculty of Arts of Comenius University (FiF UK), the French Institute Slovakia (IFS) & the French Research Center in Humanities and Social Sciences (CEFRES) offer mobility grants at the CEFRES to 2nd year and above PhD students and postdoctoral researchers (up to 10 years after their PhD defense) at the FIF UK.

FELLOWSHIPS

An envelope of 5 000 € will be granted for stays ranging from 2 to 10 months (500 € per month):

  •  Funding: 500 € / month cumulative with the PhD scholarships / postdoctoral positions
  • Duration: from 2 to 10 months at CEFRES in Prague  between September 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025

The selected fellow(s) will join CEFRES multidisciplinary research team and actively take part in the Center’s scientific life. They will work in an international research center, present their work at the internal CEFRES seminars, and may also organize a scientific event (workshop, conference…) co-financed by the Center. The fellows’ research should contribute to one of CEFRES’s research areas.

ELIGIBILITY

  • PhD students enrolled at FiF UK from the 2nd year and above
  • Postdoctoral researchers at FiF UK up to 10 years after their PhD defense
  • Good command of English is mandatory, command of French is appreciated.

SCHEDULE

  • January 17, 2024 Opening of the call
  • March 17, 2024, 23:59 CET Deadline for submissions               
  • March 17- April 28, 2024 Evaluation of the applications by a Committee of experts
  • May 16-17, 2024 Online auditions with selected candidates
  • May 20, 2024 Publication of the results

APPLICATION PACKAGE (in English or French)

  • Duly filled in application form – download the form here
  • A summary of your research (3 pp. maximum) incl. the aims and inputs of the research; its methodological and theoretical frame; the first outcomes since the beginning of the research
  • A letter of motivation answering these two questions:
    • How does your research project contribute to one of CEFRES’s research areas (450 words)
    • How can your research benefit from CEFRES? (300 words)
  • Two academic reference letters (including one from the supervisor in case of PhD students)
  • A CV with a list of publications and papers
  • A letter of authorisation from the dean of the faculty (for PhD students)
  • A confirmation officially issued by the applicant’s Faculty confirming that the employer agrees to the employee’s mobility (for post-doctoral researchers only)
