Echoes and Encounters in Central and Eastern Europe” conference, this Grand entretien will allow us to trace the roots of his thinking back to Sartre, Beauvoir, Foucault, Bourdieu and other leading figures.

Abstract
The interview will provide an opportunity to discuss the various stages of his work and the many issues he addresses: an exploration of queer and minority issues, the sociology of social classes, reflections on old age, political theory, and the relationships between philosophy, literature and autobiography.
We propose to take as our starting point the interview with Didier Éribon conducted by Geoffroy Huard, entitled Sociobiographie and published last year by Flammarion.
