The interdisciplinary selection jury of the CEFRES mobility grants auditioned 14 candidates on May 28, 2019. It congratulates all the candidates for the high quality of their file and their hearing.
After deliberating, the jury have decided:
To give a one-year « Young fellow » grant to M. Eraldo Souza dos Santo (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne ), to support his research entitled “Désobéissance civile : Un essai de généalogie conceptuelle”.
To give a one-year « CEFRES Platform » grant to M. Jakub Střelec(FSV UK), to support his research entitled „How to cure the war? The development of psychiatric knowledge and its impact on the social stability of post-war European societies between 1945 and 1968: A comparison of ‘deviant’ crimes in Prague, Düsseldorf, and London“.
To give a one-year « CEFRES Platform » grant to M. Felipe Fernandes (EHESS) to support his research entitled „Les migrants vietnamiens en République tchèque: une étude sur les lignées familiales et les réseaux économiques au marché de Sapa (Prague)“.
To give a one-year « CEFRES Platform » grant to Mrs Františka Zezuláková Schormová (FF UK) to support her research entitled „African American Poets Abroad: Black and Red Allegiances in Early Cold War Czechoslovakia“.
To give a one-year « CEFRES Platform » grant to Mrs Yulia Moskvina (FSV UK) to support her research entitled „State, Squat, Society“.
It has also decided to propose a contract of Phd Student Associate to the following candidates:
– Mrs Ekaterina Zheltova (FSV UK): „National belonging, transnational localities, and ideologies of language: Discursive practices at the Greek-Albanian borderlands.
– Mrs Anna Simbartlová (FFV UK): “Civic Integration of Immigrants in Central Europe: Case of Austria and the Czech Republic“.
– M. Vojtěch Šarše (FF UK), „The Image of Cultural Decline in the Anticolonial Francophone Sub-Saharan Novel: The processes of subjectivation, objectivation, reification and identity emptiness“.
– Mrs Tereza Sedláčková (FSV UK): „Multiple Responsibilities in the Context of Compulsory Vaccination System in the Czech Republic“.
– M. Pavol Kosnáč (Faculty of Social Sciences, Masaryk University in Brno): „Paramilitary Groups in Slovakia: An Interdisciplinary Analysis of Structure, Motivation and Environment“.

Every year the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities (InSHS) of the CNRS offers the possibility for researchers to be appointed in a research institute abroad.
Application Package of the CNRS researcher includes:
a research project
an up-to-date CV
a letter of intent
the letter of support and invitation of the director of the research center abroad
the letter of approval of the director of the departed research unit in France[1].
Application deadlines are usually by the end of February-beginning of March each year. Selected candidates are appointed to the research center abroad from the following September.
[1] Meaning the director of the research unit in France to which the CNRS researcher belongs agrees indeed the researcher will become a full researcher at CEFRES.
CEFRES is a UMIFRE – an International Joint Unit, as it is under the tutelage of both CNRS and French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Institute for Advanced Study at CEU (IAS CEU) is pleased to invite applications for its fellowships for the academic year 2017/18.
The application deadline for all four fellowships is: October 24, 2016.
Calls are open for the fellowships listed below. Applications to more than one of the programs are possible but the application process and the requirements are not always the same.
IAS CEU Fellowships are highly competitive and will be awarded on the basis of scholarly excellence.
The Institute for Advanced Study at Central European University (IAS CEU) has as its primary mission to support excellent scholars in their pursuit of knowledge in a multidisciplinary scholarly environment. Each year, IAS CEU invites some 20 researchers in the social sciences and humanities to spend 3 to 10 months as fellows working on their own research projects. Visiting scholars benefit from the University’s academic and technical resources and from the vibrant cultural and intellectual scene in Budapest. IAS CEU seeks to build connections among its fellows, CEU faculty, and local and regional academic institutions to facilitate high-level interdisciplinary cooperation.
