CNRS International mobility grants for short research stays at CEFRES (Incoming SMI)

Within its international policy, CNRS Humanities  & Social Sciences offers financial support for incoming international mobility with the aim of hosting foreign researchers who wish to develop a collaboration with CEFRES (or another CNRS research center located in France or abroad: see the call on CNRS website here).

Terms and conditions

  • This program supports missions between 2 weeks and 2 months
  • The funding is granted by CNRS Humanities & Social Sciences to CEFRES as host French research center, with the aim of covering all or part of the foreign guest’s expenses related to the research stay (airfare, accommodation and food, as well as other expenses related to the mission)
  • Funds allocated under the incoming SMI scheme are state-subsidised funds and must therefore be spent during the calendar year in which they are received. No carry-over to the calendar year 2028 will be permitted.
