On October 7th, 2024 at the Embassy of France to the Czech Republic, Mr. Stéphane Crouzat, Ambassador of France to the Czech Republic, Mrs. Eva Zažímalová, President of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Mrs. Marie Gaille, director of CNRS Sciences humaines et sociales and Mrs. Milena Králíčková, Rector of Charles University (Prague), celebrated the tenth Anniversary of CEFRES Plateform.
During this ceremony, the agreement signed on November 21st, 2024 by the representant of the two Czech acedemic institutions, CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research) and the Embassy of France to the Czech Republic was renewed for the next 5 years: 2024–2029.
Marie-Elizabeth Ducreux, CEFRES co-founder and first director was awarded the Légion d’honneur and Claire Madl, deputy director of CEFRES, the Ordre national du mérite.
Inaugurated on October 7th 2015, Czech-French scientific cooperation platform named “CEFRES Plateform” gathers the Czech Academy of Sciences, Charles University and CEFRES. Among its realisations, the Tandem Program is an incubator for large European projects hosting three simultaneous teams. So far, it enabled two teams of researchers to obtain a grant from the European Research Council (ERC amounting to 3,5 Mo €). As soon as in 2022, CEFRES Plateform also supported 50 Ukrainian researchers. It is currently funding 6 positions (PhD students, post-doctoral and senior researchers).
This reception gathered a hundred of CEFRES partners and friends at the French Embassy.
