Barbora Vacková is a student of Comparative Literature and Interpreting at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. Her current research focuses on transcendent encounters in contemporary Francophone queer literature from the Maghreb region. She draws primarily on contemporary literary approaches such as decolonialism, feminist studies, and queer studies, incorporating literary-sociological theories.
She completed a study abroad program at the Bordeaux Montaigne University and, in addition to her research and interpreting work, regularly contributes to cultural and literary journals (A2, Plav, re:vize, etc.).

She has been a member of CEFRES since February 2025 as a translator and communications manager.
