Call for applications: One month visiting professor at École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) in Paris

As part of the cooperation agreement between EHESS, CEFRES, Charles University in Prague and the Czech Academy of Sciences and the partnership between EHESS and CEFRES, concluded with the aim of intensifying Franco-Czech scientific exchanges in the field of humanities and social sciences, EHESS proposes the hosting of a teacher/researcher from a Czech academic institution for one month in June, or between October and December 2024, thanks to the support of the French Embassy in the Czech Republic.

Duration: One month
Period: June, October-December 2024
Applications are to be sent no later than: March 31 2024

CFA – Stays in France for researchers from the Slovak Academy of Sciences

Programme CEFRES – IFS – SAV pour des séjours en France de recherche en sciences humaines et sociales

L’Ambassade de France en Slovaquie, l’Institut français de Slovaquie et l’Académie slovaque des sciences proposent en coopération avec le Centre français de recherche en sciences sociales (CEFRES) et le groupement de recherche « Connaissance de l’Europe médiane » (CEM) un programme de soutien aux séjours scientifiques dans le domaine des sciences humaines et sociales en France durant l’année 2023. Ce programme est destiné aux jeunes chercheurs travaillant dans les instituts et centres de l’Académie slovaque des sciences. L’objectif de ce programme est de soutenir les coopérations franco-slovaques dans ce domaine, par un séjour de recherche de deux mois, avec le soutien scientifique du partenaire français, des équipes du CEFRES et des membres du CEM. En conséquence, les candidatures seront déposées individuellement par les jeunes chercheurs, mais le soutien affiché par des membres du CEFRES et du CEM sera un élément primordial de leur évaluation. L’ambition du programme est de faire émerger des synergies de recherche durables entre partenaires français et slovaques travaillant en réseaux de collaboration sur des objets de recherche innovants et interdisciplinaires en sciences sociales et humaines. CNRS International Emerging Action / AVČR Mobility Plus – CFA 2022

CNRS International Emerging Action (IEA)

International Emerging Actions are PI-to-PI projects whose purpose is to explore new fields of research and international partnerships through: short-term mobility of scientists, the organisation of working meetings, and the initiation of early-stage joint research works for shared scientific projects. These actions have a duration of two years.

As a complement to the resources provided directly by participating teams, International Emerging Actions receive funds earmarked by the CNRS for international mobility between the laboratories
involved, for organising working meetings, and implementing field assignments between partners, for a total amount comprised between €10,000-€14,000 over the duration of the project.

In the Czech Republic, the partner institution of the programme is the Czech Academy of Sciences.

  • Closure date of the call for proposals: September 16, 2022

Eligibility conditions vary according to each call and are specified in the above link.
The general call is open to scientists with university or researcher position in a foreign institution, and artists residing outside France. It is not targeted.
Specific calls are open only to scientists with university or researcher position in a foreign institution, and cover research disciplines or themes.

Candidates must submit their applications exclusively on IMéRA’s website. Applications must include:  CV with a list of publications (and/or creations/exhibitions for artists), presentation of research project (maximum 5 pages) with selective bibliography, one to three letters of recommendation for junior researchers, and additional documents specific to each call.
