Transmission intergénérationnelle de la mémoire de la guerre : les cas des familles en Bosnie-Herzégovine et de la diaspora bosniaque en Europe

Ce projet de recherche doctorale porte sur la transmission intergénérationnelle de la mémoire, en mettant l’accent sur la première génération de Bosniaques ayant vécu la guerre de 1992-1995 et leurs enfants, nés après la guerre à Sarajevo et vivant actuellement dans les pays de l’UE, au Royaume-Uni et aux États-Unis. L’étude de la transmission de la mémoire de guerre a une grande importance sociale et politique. Puisque simplement, le passé ne disparaît pas et l’expérience vécue finit par devenir une narration transmise d’une génération à une autre. De plus, la mémoire collective peut rester endormie, prête à émerger plusieurs générations voire plusieurs siècles plus tard. L’objectif principal de ce projet est d’examiner la dynamique de transmission intergénérationnelle de la mémoire de la guerre au sein des familles vivant en Bosnie-Herzégovine et dans la diaspora bosniaque de l’UE, avec un accent mis en particulier sur la façon dont le passé y est rappelé, par exemple, la sélection, l’accentuation, le recalibrage, et dans quel but, par exemple, la construction identitaire, le besoin d’estime, l’autonomisation, le changement social, etc.

Emina Zoletic bénéficie actuellement d’une bourse « Fulbright », elle est donc chercheuse-étudiante en échange à la Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs (Program for the Advancement of Research on Conflict and Collaboration), Université de Syracuse, New York, États-Unis. Elle travaillera dans le cadre de sa bourse, en étroite collaboration avec son superviseur : le professeur associé Azra Hromadzic, et le Dr Ralph E. Montonna. Elle aura ainsi l’occasion d’échanger avec les chercheurs de l’université de Cornell. Elle poursuit en outre sa thèse au sujet de la guerre, de la transmission intergénérationnelle des souvenirs et des récits ainsi que de la diaspora et de la migration.

Cette bourse est sponsorisée pour l’année universitaire 2023-2024 par l’ambassade des États-Unis à Sarajevo, en Bosnie-Herzégovine.
