La première édition du Prix Derrida en sciences humaines et sociales a récompensé les travaux de doctorat consacrés à la thématique de la ville de deux doctorants :
- Jana Kočková (FSS MUNI Brno – sociologie) : The transformation of the post-socialist large housing estate: comparative study
- Václav Walach (FSS MUNI Brno – science politique) : The Meaning of Security in a Socially Excluded Locality
La cérémonie de remise des prix a eu lieu dans la matinée du 16 juin 2017 à l’Ambassade de France à Prague en présence de l’Ambassadeur Roland Galharague et du prix Nobel de chimie Jean-Marie Lehn. Les prix étaient soutenus par Karel Janeček.
