Call for applications

Deadline for submitting applications at CEFRES: 28 August 2015.

Period: from 1st January 2016 to 31st December 2018.

Application Language: English only.

As a partner of CEFRES Plateform, Charles University is recruiting two high-quality post-doctoral research fellows from abroad, to become researchers at CEFRES, within the frame of the Charles University’s International Post-Doc Research Fund. These post-doctoral positions are open for two years from 1st of January 2016. The salary is 28 000 CZK per month and a fixed-term contract will be signed between the each post-doctoral researcher and CEFRES.

Eligible applicants must be high-level researchers from abroad, who defended their PhD no more than 10 years prior to the application deadline in a university outside the Czech Republic. Fellows are expected to contribute through their own research, whether individual or collaborative, to one of the CEFRES’s 3 research areas. They should moreover contribute to the scientific life of the center and come to live in Prague.

Calls for papers will be published on Charles University’s website on 11 July 2015. CEFRES will be amongts the hosting institutions of the University Post-Doc Research Fund.

Application packages must be submitted by 28 August 2015 electronically in an email entitled “Application to UK Post-Doctoral Position at CEFRES” at: clararoyer@cefres.cz. Applicants can contact Ms Royer, director of CEFRES, before they submit their application to discuss their research project.

Non-selected applicants to CEFRES’s former call for applications (Young Researchers Fellowship) are welcome to resubmit their project within this frame.

Applications preselected by CEFRES will then be evaluated by a University committee appointed by the Rector of Charles University.

After the first year of work on the project, the above-mentioned University committee will carry out an interview with the post-doc research fellow to evaluate the results achieved; the committee will confirm the continuation of his/her contract for the following year. Towards the end of the two-year period, the implementation of the project is evaluated by the University committee; the research fellow presents his/her final conclusions and submits publications produced as part of the project.
